Tel Aviv was this year’s location of the European and Middle East regional final of the Global Security Challenge, where isiQiri has been invited to present a novel application of the Q-Foil technology in the field of person and object tracking. isiQiri has been chosen among 200 applications from over 30 countries in the world.

In June this year isiQiri was elected number 1 amongst the 50 most innovative companies in Upper Austria in the category Startups. After winning several innovation awards already earlier this awards once again shows the acknowledgment isiQiri gets for it´s ideas and products.

Q-Screen’s first public showing in the USA was at Stampede’s booth at the InfoComm 2011 show in Orlando, FL. Visitors to Stampede’s Western-theme InfoComm booth could experience the interactive Q-Screen while playing a “Shoot Gallery” game on a massive 12ft screen.

“It’s a truly unique innovation,” said Bob Senior the company’s President, who is responsible for the company’s US market entry. “It will open new avenues of interactivity and reinvigorate the projection industry bringing new market opportunities and leveraging the growing content base of multi-user, multi-touch material. We are also very excited about our partnership with Stampede, who has the reputation, reach and professionalism to help us bring this unique new product to market.”

The Q-Screen gives dealers a sales opportunity for customers who were previously reluctant to completely change over to a new interactive system. With Q-Screen dealers can offer a quick, easy and affordable upgrade to state-of-the-art technology.”

The shooting gallery has been the attraction of the show and every day the high score won an iPad touch.

The Econovius is the most prestigious innovation award for small companies in Austria. This year isiQiri won the first price for its interactive projection screen system, the Q-Screen.

In a ceremony Dr. Reinhold Mitterlehner, Austrian Minister for Economic Affairs and Dr. Hans-Jörg Schelling, Vicepresident of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce handed over a certificate and a check amounting to 10000 EUR to Richard Ebner, CEO of isiQiri. Moreover Mag. DI Bernhard Sagmeister, CEO of the Austrian Bank for Economic Development joined in with a check worth 1000 EUR for market research.

Jan. 1^st, 2011 isiQiri appointed Bob Senior President of isiQiri´s US operation. Bob Senior was member of isiQiri´s advisory board before.

An international business development expert, Bob Senior has more than two decades of operational experience in the sphere of advanced man machine interfaces. He has founded and served in executive management positions in public and private touch-screen companies world-wide, and has an outstanding track record in initiating, developing, and closing B2B business in the global technology sphere.

An experienced board director, Bob has served on the board of several successful international companies including FlatFrog Laboratories, digitalvision Ltd (acquired by Getty Images) and Trunk Archive. Bob was Executive Vice President, Noise Limit Inc, CEO at Taktio A/S (now FlatFrog),Co-founder and Managing Director ot Touch International, Vice President WW Sales MicroTouch Inc, Managing Director and Vice-President (EMEA), MicroTouch Systems Ltd (acquired by 3M touch systems). Bob has also worked in senior positions at Apple, NCR and Poqet Computer. He holds a B.Ed/Physics degree.

isiQiri won the Rudolf Trauner Award, an award given for exemplary conjoint development projects between an Austrian university and a small or medium sized company. By closely working together with the Department of Soft Matter Physics isiQiri developed a disruptive technology for position sensitive photo detectors. These detectors are large-area and bendable. They are used to add interactivity to surfaces of almost any size, shape and curvature.

Starting Nov. 30th until Dec. 2nd the Printed Electronics 2010 will take place in Santa Clara/CA. isiQiri will be there as an exhibitor. In addition to that Robert Koeppe, Cofounder and CSO of isiQiri will give a talk at the conference. isiQiri’s disruptive interaction technologies – the Q-Screen (an interactive projection screen) and the Q-Frame (large-area real multi-touch technology) will change the way people interact with software. Both technologies will be presented there.

isiQiri recently filed another patent. “This will further strengthen our competitive position but also enable us to pool patents with companies working on similar fields like isiQiri” says CEO Richard Ebner. isiQiri will continue building a robust patent position and plans to file two more patents soon.

Today isiQiri received a visit from Dr. Beatrix Karl, Austrian minister of science and Mag. Doris Hummer, member of the provincial government of Upper Austria, responsible for science, together with a large delegation of officials interested in isiQiri’s disruptive interaction technology for large surface areas. As the first company ever in history isiQiri won the first prize in even two categories of the “Innovation Award 2010 of the state of Upper Austria”. isiQiri is the winner in the categories “small businesses” as well as “disruptive innovation”. These awards were granted to isiQiri for the Q-Screen, an interactive projection screen capable of letting up to 4 users at a time interact with any projected content on the projection screen by means of laser pointers.
